Five students from our school (5B Lai Chak Kang, 5B Chan Tin Yan, 6A Law King Fung, 6A Chen Yu Man, and 6C Chou Long Fung) were selected as ‘Hong Kong 200’ Leaders.
The ‘Hong Kong 200’ is a Leadership development programme organized by the HKFYG. Each year, a panel of judges rigorously selects 200 outstanding youth who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a strong commitment to community service. It provides a comprehensive, professional and forward-looking leadership training experience for secondary school students with outstanding potential to meet future challenges.
After multiple workshops and presentations, the team led by 5B Lai Chak Kang won the Silver Award in the final competition with their design of an application called ‘寄語．寄念’. They also received sponsorship of HKD 8,000 as seed funding to implement their project.
‘寄語．寄念’ aims to provide assistance and alleviate negative emotions for citizens through the use of an application. It includes features such as emergency hotlines, professional psychological tests, the delivery of positive quotes, regular provision of information on mental illnesses, and an anonymous forum. The application is currently available for download on Android devices.
